Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! Today is also a very special day because my mom turns 50!…..ummm… I mean… 35! *wink* My mom is so special to me. Without her I couldn’t do half of the things I attempt! She’s often the one searching for new products, cutting ribbon, and packaging your orders for shipment. Not only is she a great help to my business, but she’s also my best friend. Growing up I never imagined being friends with my mom and now I can’t imagine it any other way! Happy Birthday, Mom! Now, it’s party time! For today’s cupcake card I used the Inque Boutique Party Cupcakes set. The patterned paper is K & Company with glittery apples and cherries on it. I took inspiration from the patterned paper for the cupcake wrapper. Part of the design in the patterned paper looks like the Cheesecloth background stamp. So I inked up my Cheesecloth background with Green Galore and then overstamped the cupcake wrapper, cut it out, and popped it up. The rest of the cupcake is colored with Copic markers and the cherry is covered with Glossy Accents. Now let me introduce you to the Featured Cupcake Sampler this week! You probably remember Terri’s cute Matilda Muffinbread card from last week? She created this adorable pink and brown number using the sketch this week… the sentiment fits perfectly, those cupcakes definitely look fudgy! YUM! You can check out the rest of Terri’s brilliant work on her blog Paper, Scissors, Stamps… ROCK! Now it’s your turn to try the sketch! I’ll chose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be featured on my blog during Cupcake Friday. One random winner will also be selected from among all the participants to receive 2 Copic Sketch markers… B63 Light Hydrangea and BG000 Pale Aqua! You’re not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not use ’em!? 🙂 You’re welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you’ll be eligible for the prize drawing and Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If you’re uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC24 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 24). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery upload so I can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, July 14th at 8am PST to be eligible for the prize drawing. I can’t wait to see what you come up with! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

And you definitely don’t want to miss the wonderful inspiration from the Cupcake Crew this week!
