Hey there, crafty friends! It’s been so fun seeing many of our friends and fans at CHA this weekend! The So Cal rain hasn’t stopped us from having a great time and I really can’t complain about the weather because it’s much better than the subzero temps that we left in Iowa.
As I was playing around with my new January release items I made a fun discovery. As I was creating a card using Build a Scene – On the Road I realized that the little pavement lines from the center of the road look a lot like sprinkles! The pieces that would normally be discarded became the focus of this project:
I started by cutting roads from several different colors and setting aside the sprinkle pieces. Then I cut out a bunch of donut and frosting pieces and embellished them with sprinkles using Embellie Gellie to help me place the small sprinkles onto the frosting.
I used the Sprinked with Love stamp set for the sentiment because it was so fitting for my donuts covered in sprinkles! Below you can see the road die cut from several colors (top right) and the sprinkle pieces that fall out from the road:
