And now, let’s hear from Julia about her project…

Easter may be long past, but you don’t have to put away those darling
bunny stamps and dies! Have you ever thought of using them other ways?
Recently I needed a baby card and was going through my stash of stamps
and dies for inspiration. Being a serious Beatrix Potter fan, I loved
dressing my sweet babies in little jammies and onesies with Peter Rabbit
on them. When I saw the Hippity Hop die set it brought back wonderful
memories and thought it would be fun to create my baby card with a
darling little bunny as the theme.

I love layering patterned
papers and die cuts. The largest die cut layer is cut using the Circles
Cutting Plate
. To make it smaller, I just trimmed off the edges to the
size I wanted. While I love using the full cutting plate, sometimes it’s
nice to change things up a little and cut it down. The next two layers
are die-cut using the Build A Tag 3 die set from some pretty patterned paper.
The mix of prints are so pretty and are soft and delicate for a baby
card design. The main color I chose for this card was pink as this
card is making it’s way to celebrate the arrival of a new baby girl.

The
bow at the top of the project is created from a long rectangle cut from
Aqua Mist Wool Felt. It is simply folded back and forth to form a bow
shape and then tied with twine. I adore adding in embellishments and
this was the perfect place.

I didn’t have a baby
sentiment stamp in my possession, so I ended up using a simple “Best Wishes”
sentiment from the Daisy Bouquet stamp set. When buying stamps, it’s
always good to have a few generic sentiments on hand to fit most
occasions and the Taylored Expressions bouquet stamps have lots of great
sentiments like this.

Don’t forget to think outside the box with
the stamps and dies you already own! You’ll find there is always more
than one way to use them!

Thanks so much, Julia, for sharing this sweet baby card! Be sure to check out Julia’s blog, Belle Papier to see more of her lovely projects. Have a joyful day!
