The lid has a mounted pin to help prevent blockages. Should the tip become blocked, rinse with warm water until clear.

These are a game changer! I live in the mountains at 6,000 ft and am always going off the hill to the valley. They never clog. There might be a bit of glue at the end, it just comes right off!!! These are way better than the little bottles I use to use for fine tip glue.
